Fit for Eternity
Crossing Over— The Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church Fit for Eternity Walk/Run is a new twist on an old tradition. In 2006, Reverend Dr. Alyn E. Waller, decided to update the old Baptist tradition of having a church congregation walk from the site of its old church building to the site of the new building. To honor the symbolism of the church’s expansion to its new place of worship, an annual Walk/Run was started with proceeds going to local charitable organizations. In keeping with Enon’s commitment to benefit those in our community, the Fit for Eternity Walk/Run is an annual event commemorating our “crossing over” into a new facility and season of ministry, but also focusing on health/mental health issues that are important but don’t receive the publicity and awareness that they should.
Final Results 2015
Thank you to all who participated in our 10th Annual Fit for Eternity Walk/Run! It was a beautiful day for competition and our witness to the community for the cause of Christ was tremendous. Because of your donations and sacrifice we were able to donate $7000 to The Lutheran Settlement House, a local agency which supports women, children and families effected by Domestic Violence.
Congratulations to all the winners of the respective age groups as Runners and Walkers. Below are race results for each category. A special THANK YOU to all our volunteers!
